How do I link my domain name with my actual website?

I just purchased a domain name and made my website somewhere else. How do I get the domain name to get to my website?

If you have domain forwarding on your server, that is the easiest way to do it.

Call the people at the service that sold you your domain name. Tell them the address you’d like it forwarded to. I got my domain name from registerfly.com and just called their tech support rather then try and figure it out. I set up my web site on a free cable account and bought the name for like 9 dollars a year.

If your web site is hosted somewhere, then they should provide you nameservers like ns1.secureserver.net and ns2.secureserver.net to input into your domain name settings. From there it will know to load your domain name from that hosting server.
