No, it’s not. That’s a perfectly fine weight range for someone your size and age. You’re still growing, so don’t worry about it so much. You’re still going throw puberty and you’ll be at a perfect weight range when you grow a little bit taller. Don’t listen to the people insinuating that you’re fat or calling you childish names (like “blimp” and “chubbster”, you are NOT fat and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I’m only half an inch taller than you, but I’m 20 years old and I weigh between 115 and 120 as well (depending on the time if the month) and I am by no means fat. So they obviously don’t know anything about weight. I’m sure a lot of girls would kill to have your body. Not that being a little overweight is a bad thing. As long as your health isn’t in jeopardy, just be happy with who you are and enjoy life. Personality and esteem is way more important than weight anyway!

It also depends on their BMI (Body Mass Index). If you’re very active and have more muscle mass, you will be a little bit heavier because muscle weighs more than fat. It also depends on ****** size. One of my sister’s friends in elementary school was 12 years old, 4′9″ and had 38 DDD. She had to have ****** reduction because they were too heavy for her body size. So if you’re a little larger up top, you might weigh a little more but would NOT be considered fat.

Even if you feel like you have a little bit of belly bulge or something, don’t worry about it. You’ll grow into it as you get taller and thin out. In the meantime, just keep eating healthy and staying active and you’ll be in great shape by the time you finish high school! 13 is NOT an age to be worrying about weight. If you start freaking out about it now and cutting back on your calorie intake, it could stunt your growth. So stay within the 2000-2500 calorie range, eat your fruits and veggies, and you’ll be in fantastic shape.

    Good luck!

one thing you need to do is get another scale it sounds like yours is off and as for your weight boys grow and weigh like weeds if you feel fine and your not sick and can do activities with out getting worn out i say you are ok

Hardly, when I was 14 I was just beginning to blossom. I weighed in at 115 lbs. By the time I was 16 I weighed in at 120 lbs and at 19 I weighed 125 lbs. I was 5′ 8 1/2″ tall if that helps, a bit taller than you. I was tall and when I turned side ways I disappeared.

Now, I am 58 and my Doc says I am over weight - weighing in at 212 lbs. I look in the mirror and thank God that I am tall so it hides most of it, but people can tell I am overweight.

If a boy or a man tells you that you are overweight, take a long good look at them. A person who would criticize over people weight usually have some kind of deficiency in themselves that they are hopping you won’t notice when they say you are overweight.

You are growing and as a mother and a grandmother - let me tell you after a few children you will know what overweight is and it’s not 115 pounds at 13.

If you’re genuinely concerned, ask your doctor the next time you go in for a check-up. If you’re asking because the popular girls at school are taller or thinner or richer or have pointier noses, forget about it. Looking for self-esteem by comparing yourself to others is a losing battle. The most important thing is whether you’re happy with how you look.

i agree with chica_zarca, 100% right don’t listen to the dumdums before her or those who tell you you’re fat.
