Who is responsible for filing involuntary manslaughter charges?

A family member was struck and killed by a reckless (but not intoxicated) driver. The driver merely lost his license for a short period of time. To my knowledge, no criminal charges were brought against the driver. Who - if anyone - do I contact about following up on this issue? Also, I should mention that this occured in the state of IL.

How can I convert a String to a double and ignore the characters at the end?

I’m currently doing some programming in Java and I’ve managed to convert a string to a double, but I’m trying to figure out how to ignore any characters at the end of the string. For example, if the string is 123abc then all that is returned is 123.

If you listen to Rush-Hannity and FOX news they have all come to this guys defense and have question the integrity of the officer involved-they really believe (or try to convince their followers) that this is a conspiracy-they(the great left conspiracy) knew what stall he went to-they knew his flights etc. -the far right has lost all credibility. Oh yea read what Ann Coulter says….

She tried to start a conversation with me and tried to keep it. This all happened one day. The next time I saw her, she lost interest. I didn’t change or anything. I looked the same. We were just walking along, ans she told me sometimes whe feels I am just with her to have a girlfreind, and it is not so much that I actually like her. What would you do. To make matters worse we have not made out in 2 weeks, and she just asked me last night if I mind that we do not make out very often, I said no, and then asked her the same question, she then also said no. I just am so lost. The relationship is failing, how can I show her that I really do like her, and care for her. I am just soo confused right now.
